Visualize bringing a piece of New York to your home to keep that lively, zesty, and ever-evolving vibe of the buzzing business and art hub. A native New Yorker and multidisciplinary designer, Phil Panza, aimed to honor the beauty of the city by giving the iconic Yankees cap a chair makeover. Panza has been in relentless spirits to produce off-beat unconventional pieces of art. The tufted and upholstered Yankees Cap Chair with storage compartment is the latest piece, flaunting his love for the city.
Extremely influenced by graffiti and contemporary streetwear trends, Phil’s DIY projects are admired for their surrealistic appeal and the latest creation is no exception. Off-beat and quirky, this fuzzy navy baseball cap chair stretches out over four feet in length and has a larger-than-life framework. A surprise element is added to this chair through a hidden storage compartment in the center covered with a lid.
To create the internal build for the unique chair design, the designer worked with fabric, stapled the first layer, and cushioned the inside of the chair.

Garnering positive responses over Instagram, noticeable streetwear magazines and design publications have been re-posting Phil’s dream project on their social handles. A choice of Royal blue velvet fabric best defines his creativity.
Dominating the entire structure is the Royal’s KC logo, the chair can bear the considerable weight of an average man and looks adorable in various settings.
