TVs are the main highlight at CES 2022 but projectors are also grabbing plenty of attraction. Earlier, we apprised you of Samsung Freestyle portable projector and Anker Cosmos 4K projector, and now it’s the AURA 4K ultra short-throw (UST) laser projector from Chinese manufacturer XGIMI that’s been unraveled at the electronics show and is worth a discussion. It can project 4K images at up to 150-inches from just inches away from the screen.
AURA is equipped with advanced ALPD technology and eight-point keystone correction technology to deliver crisp life-like picture quality. It runs Android TV 10 user interface that supports major streaming services like Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu and Amazon Prime.
The projector has four 15W Harman-Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio support that offers room-filling audio. There are three HDMI ports to connect external devices like game consoles, cable boxes and Blu-Ray players, plus it has built-in Chromecast functionality.

The XGIMI AURA 4K UST laser projector is designed as an alternative to smart TVs. It would certainly give tough competition to Samsung Premiere and LG CineBeam projectors. It is available for $2,499 at the official website.
