Westfalia made a comeback after 20 years in North America last year with a new Wave series introduced at the 2024 Florida RV SuperShow. Now, the European camper van brand has launched the smallest member of the series, named Wave SRT, which may be suitable for those wanting a more maneuverable option. Featuring a compact design and modern facilities, this camper van is designed to support comfortable living on the road.
The new Wave SRT model is based on a 235-inch RAM PROMASTER 3500 159-inch chassis that seems perfect for navigating tight spaces. It is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 gas engine with 9-speed transmission that produces 276 hp power. On the outside, the van measures 19 foot 7 inches long, 6 foot 11 inches wide, and 9 foot 5 inches high while the standing height inside is 6 foot 2 inches.
As for the weight, the Wave SRT camper van offers a Gross Combined Weight Rating of 11,500 lbs (5,227 kg) while it has an Occupant & Cargo Carrying Capacity of 1,629 lbs (739 kg). The maximum towing capacity of the camper van is 1,823 lbs (827 kg).
The Wave SRT is capable of sleeping a family of four, with the main bedroom at the rear and convertible dinette on the front. The rear bed offers different configurations: you can turn it to twin, double or queen size as per requirement. Likewise, the folding front sofa transforms into a 39 x 69 inches bed when additional sleeping space is required.
The van is equipped with a full kitchen featuring a solid surface countertop, a two-burner propane stove, a microwave, refrigerator, and an adjustable swivel table. A wet bath with cassette toilet, sink and shower is also included in the design.

The camper van has a 600-Ah lithium battery and a 3000-Watt power inverter to meet the energy needs, and a 300W solar array can also be added for off-grid functionality. Furthermore, it has a 145-liter fresh water tank, 18-liter black water tank, and 99-liter gray water tank to let you camp in a remote location for a longer.
Other highlights include a power awning and steps at entry, skylight, ten interior windows, HVAC, 25-liter propane tank, Firefly Integration for smart controls, and 15 cubic feet storage. The Westfalia Wave SRT camper van is designed for effortless maneuvering, owing to its small size. The pricing starts at $160,550 and you can choose it from six different colors.
