The Kivi Sauna, designed by Sotamaa in Finnish archipelago, seamlessly integrates with the elements in the surrounding nature
It is constructed from sustainably sourced Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) by Crosslam Ltd.
The cabin is built in a factory while the steel foundation is embedded on site in the rock
The sauna features a unique curved, aerodynamic shape that makes it look like a weathered rock
Its scaly exterior is made from curved wood panels and Leadax - special material derived from recycled car windows
The 14 sqm interior space has wood flooring and dark walls
On entering, you find a wood-burning water heater and a door leading to the sauna cabin
A panoramic horizontal window offers expansive views of the archipelago and sea from inside
This unique structure focuses on seamless fusion of the architecture and landscape
