3D printers are now being used to build camping trailers and the credit goes to Ukraine-based startup Lemki Robotix and iScale3D
The duo has created Discover 3D, a compact and lightweight teardrop trailer, with its main shell 3D printed using a FGF (fused granulate fabrication) 3D printer
The teardrop trailer measures 3.2 m (10.5 ft) x 1.8 m (5.10 ft) x 1.8 m (5.10 ft) and utilizes a single-axle trailer
Made from fiberglass and recycled plastic, the aerodynamic camper boasts a sleek profile with mere 9 mm wall thickness
It weighs about 400 kg (roughly 880 lbs), giving you the freedom to tow it with a number of vehicles
On the rear is a tailgate galley with wooden countertop, a small propane-powered two-burner stove and a sink
There is also a cozy sleeping nook sufficient enough for two with a skylight and window to one side
Oksana Zadiranchuk developed the exteriors while Maryan Stegura designed the interiors
The Discover 3D Printed Camper Trailer by iScale3D is available for preorder, with price staring from €12,000 approx. ($13,000)
