Organic architecture, the eco-friendly design philosophy coined by veteran American architect Frank Lloyd Wright serves as foundation for the The N'arrow Project by Mykonos Architects

Nestled in the hills of Heraklion, Crete in Greece, this residential project aims to create a building that harmonizes with the surrounding rugged and sloped terrain covered with olive trees

Aptly referred to as a cave house, this structure is distinguished by its narrow, elongated structure, ending in a sharp tip like an arrow

The dwelling is neatly tucked into the earth in order to merge seamlessly with the natural environment and stay naturally cool in the Mediterranean climate

The building features exposed concrete, steel elements, and large glass panes for industrial charm

These materials create a striking visual contrast with natural stone surroundings

There are large openings that maximize views, provide ventilation, and connect indoor and outdoor spaces

The interior space also stands out with concrete floor and walls

A staircase leads below ground to living areas while an external staircase connects sleeping quarters to an outdoor space with a pool at the structure’s tip

This unique house is seamlessly integrated into the earth, making it look like an underground house at first sight
