Ace designer Vincent Van Duysen’s latest collection ‘Gravita’s is a symbol prioritizing minimalism out and large. The entire amalgamation is a display of an 18-piece series showcasing the power and unique abilities of stone as a crafting material. The collection embodies a fond appreciation for the intrinsic beauty of natural materials.
Gravitas is born out of collaboration with Arca, a leading supplier of stone and wood. The designer fondly adores his previous association with Arca and the material thus is enthralled by further associations. The artwork displays a fusion of stones such as Lava, Cafecina, Carrara marble and Porfido from Mexico, Spain and Italy respectively.
Inspired by the reinterpretation of classical Roman and Greek architecture, the collection features seating, shelving and a dining table. Long columns, lounge chair, chaise, stools, benches and dining table serve any space of your house or office.

Interestingly the columns double as shelves displaying your belongings in style. You can witness highly polished and smooth surfaces from the exterior whereas the overall look is closely put together to resemble weather-beaten rocks. Single blocks of stone are crafted with the help of a machine to give them the desired shape and look.
This stone furniture is an apt adaptation of becoming a monumental furnishing through its dedicated hand-work showcasing ingenious artisanal value that spanned more than 80 hours of labor. Rightly the designer adds that he imagines the art pieces to serve well both indoor and outdoor and ensures to attract gaze wherever placed.
