For those who celebrate Star Wars Day or Sith Day, artist Alex Dodson of Burned by Design has created a Darth Vader-inspired BBQ grill and wood burner. Dubbed VaderQ, this Star Wars-themed grill calls you to the Dark Side and makes for a perfect gift for any Sith Lord. For the uninitiated, Star Wars fandom celebrates heroes of the vast galaxy on May the 4th, while May 5th highlights the villains, especially the Sith, the Jedi gone evil.
VaderQ is perhaps one of the best presents for someone who loves the epic space saga and grilling. Shaped as the fearsome Darth Vader helmet, the VaderQ is divided into two sections. The top of the helmet opens from the front to reveal a barbeque grill, while the face part hides a wood burner.
The charcoal grill is small but can cook for a couple of people at a time on the wire frame. Made of cast iron, the grill offers maximum heat control for the perfect sear whether you are grilling steaks or large vegetables.
The lower half of VaderQ, below the eyes, swings out to reveal the gaping maw of evil, where you can throw in some wood to make fire. The burner door is secured with a flip latch on the side. When operational, you see flames peeking through the mesh eyes and three slits in the mouthpieces. Cue raspy, wheezy sounds. Shivers!
The Darth Vader BBQ grill and wood burner can be a valuable collectible for a Star Wars fan. It is designed especially for those who like their meat on the dark side, teaching them the way of the Sith. VaderQ grill is powerful enough to lure even the practitioners of Light Side.
