Ironpie uses a zigzag route that, according to the company, helps in identifying areas that are yet to be cleaned. It creates a 3D map of a home with the collected data for cleaning tasks in the future. Other features are the simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) system that prevents the robot vacuum colliding from obstacles.
