Every bus conversion tells a story of struggles, happiness, and more importantly, a fulfilling life on the road. This beautiful couple, Alex and Kae, have been part of this story since 2018. They have converted a 2007 Ford E-450 into the most charming bus home we have seen. Once treading the roads for many years as a bus, it is now a humble home on wheels. Dubbed the Treehouse Bus with a treehouse-themed aesthetic integrated inside-out, it is now home to the couple and their two adorable dogs.
Alex and Kae chose a green color for the exterior of the Treehouse Bus. The interior has a wood accent, making it feel like living in a treehouse. We truly adore their vintage kitchen with a big window that opens to a breathtaking ocean view. The kitchen has a countertop and a fancy copper sink with a nifty faucet. It has a cooktop, a microwave, ample prep space, and rustic burnt pots on the shelf above.
There are many little details like hanging pots, coffee mugs, lanterns, bags for keeping fruits and other things, and a spicy spice rack adding character. Outside the kitchen, the couple has included an additional storage to keep water tanks. The bus house is still a work in progress as they keep thinking of things they need to add, just like a half-painted mural that Kae is still working on. There is a storage space in a corner and it is quite functional to store little items while traveling.
An open closet is such a great space to hang their clothes, which has a painted mural with leaves hanging around as decoration. Below the closet, a portable fridge is placed. A pull-out dog bed makes room for both of their dogs, and it is just a cozy nook to rest and cuddle.
Above the dog beds is a nook for the stove and Kae’s tiny propagation wall just doubles the aura of this nook. This area also accommodates a vintage dresser with storage for clothes and mirrors, all the way from India, and gandolin from their previous apartment. She keeps all of her artistic stuff in the dresser as well.

They have a little bathroom area with a toilet and shelf for keeping essentials. It might be a shocker for some, but they don’t have a shower. However, they are planning to rework the whole area and make it better and more functional. At last, there is a bedroom with a storage integrated bed fastened with hydraulics for easy maneuvering, a little seating area, and plenty of endearing details, hangings, and bookshelves in the corner.
For a smooth ride, they have a Kodiak converter with 3000 watts inverter and 1500 running watts. Nonetheless, It is full of life and personality that is captivating and amusing to watch. Kae and Alex have put so much love into it and it shows with every itsy bitsy corner filled with heartwarming beauty.
