At Homecrux we are not particularly excited about featuring Toy Haulers unless they double as mobile homes for campers. Gearloft and BFX served the dual purpose and thus made the cut but most trailers we see online are either full-time toy haulers or plain camper trailers. But from time to time, the blogosphere digs into nooks and crannies of the internet to bring new dual creations to your phone screen.
This time it’s courtesy of autoevolution that discovered the Trail Dog camper trailer, a rugged and stylish toy hauler for carrying your bikes, kayaks, ATV, and more. Measuring 15 feet long (tongue to tail), the Trail Dog camper trailer by Mission Overland features durable and lightweight construction using aluminum and composite materials, which ensures protection from water and mold damage.
It boasts an independent suspension system with Timbren off-road axles, making it suitable for rough terrain while remaining light enough for an SUV to tow. The Trail Dog comes equipped with a 31-gallon fresh water tank, an external kitchen with a sink and stove, and a TRUMA fridge/freezer to keep your supplies fresh.
The real USP of the trailer is its interior which can haul your toys. So, if you plan on mountain biking in a National Park, or indulging in dirt biking through remote trails; the Trail Dog is built to handle it all. The toy hauler-cum-camper trailer features a ramp door that makes it easy to load and unload up to 1,250 lbs of gear or vehicles, while the 360-degree coupler hitch and rugged Pro Comp tires ensure stability and smooth towing.
The trailer features an interior measuring 93 inches x 54 inches x 49 inches in length, breadth, and height, respectively, thus being capacious enough to carry an ATV and a couple of bicycles. Inside, you’ll find dual USB chargers, LED lighting, and a 12V deep cycle battery, offering convenience to the dweller.
Once you are done unloading your toys, you can set up your cots for sleeping. It is to be noted that the first level of the trailer can only sleep a couple, implying the other members have to sleep inside the trailer’s full pop-up roof that offers an impressive 85 inches of interior standing height and a comfortable 3-inch foam bed to ensure supreme comfort to the user. The tent can be accessed via an external ladder that folds up when not in use.

The trailer manufacturer also offers customizable options including the front box luggage rack, a 270-degree awning sidewall kit, remote air conditioning, and extra storage options, ensuring you’re fully equipped for any adventure. The toy hauling trailer is priced at $40,000, but some dealers across the US are selling the rig for a much lower price.
