The Torii Nest Outdoor seating collection combines Japanese structural details and macro weaving with a Vienna straw effect. The end result is beautiful furniture that can withstand the elements. Designed by Japanese multidisciplinary studio nendo for Minotti, it is the latest addition to the brand’s Torii furniture collection launched back in 2020.
The Torii Nest collection comprising armchair, lounge, and dining armchair versions is meant for outdoor spaces like patio or backyard. With structural details linked to Japanese tradition, these outdoor seats are characterized by round-edged volumes, thin profiles, and simplicity in design.
Torii Nest Outdoor seats feature an innovative woven back, cushiony seat, and shiny metal legs. The varnished tubular steel frame of the backrest is covered in woven cord in the shades Ecru and Dark Brown, sporting a design inspired by Vienna straw but with a bigger mesh. The backrest, in the shape of a perfect circle, evokes a sophisticated visual lightness that embraces the padded seat.
