The importance of a tiny house being an investment is uncontested; which is why London-based stage actor Joe and his partner Harrie decided to go tiny. Calling themselves ‘money poor and time rich’, the duo built a tiny house from scratch on the outskirts of London. This $42K tiny house on wheels was envisioned and crafted by the couple on their own while utilizing as much reclaimed material as they could. Displaying a cottage-like facade, a sturdy cladding on the outside in an ashy color blends the tiny house into the environs, while the interior packs modern amenities for comfortable living.
The mobile dwelling features designated spaces including a living area, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Beautiful skylights and multiple windows bathe the entire house with fresh air and light. The interior boasts the clever use of reclaimed materials by the couple.
A beautifully lit lounge area with a lounger, a TV set, a set of chairs, and a fireplace welcomes you inside. It is a perfect spot to host guests and for movie marathons. A mezzanine living room above this has a lounge chair, a table, and also some storage space. It is an ideal setting for comfortably reading while sitting under the skylight.

The kitchen of the self-built tiny house is well-equipped with modern appliances. An under-the-counter fridge, freezer, cabinets, and shelves make this space incredibly functional. Adjacent to this is an airy, lighted, and spacious bathroom with the only closing door in the house. It has a huge wardrobe and a closet with full-length mirrors.
A ladder runs up from the kitchen to an airy loft that has a king-size bed with plenty of storage and a skylight to light up the area. A circular window up here gives a clear view of the entire house. The house was featured by Living Big in a Tiny House and was built for $42,500, backed up with almost entirely reclaimed materials.
