Traveling with pets poses several difficulties in itself; add in the task of finding the right Airbnb rental that allows your furry friends to stay with you is downright headachy. Thankfully, people like interior designer Priscilla Tan understand that and gleefully design vacation rentals with eclectic design styles for you to enjoy a weekend with your pet. Case in point, Tan’s backyard guest home with a wrap-around deck and magical glasshouse dining room to enjoy the surroundings.

Overlooking a private valley, the backyard tiny guest home with a glasshouse dining room looks right out of a fantasy novel. Priscilla puts her skill as an interior designer to use through her mastery of color and style. She and her husband lived in the bright dwelling when their main house was being constructed: now it functions as a cozy space for family, friends, and guests.

Thanks to a clever interior layout, the home has a sense of spaciousness and function. Accommodating enough to sleep four people comfortably. Located less than an hour away from Wellington, the tiny house has free parking.

Accessible through a wrap-around deck, the house features a neutral color palette inside out. It is fully insulated and has large double-glazed doors and windows that allow plenty of natural light inside. There are two French-style doors: one opens into the bedroom, while the other opens into the living room.

Let’s begin the exploring with the spacious living room. It features a convertible sofa bed, a shoe and coat rack, a couple of plants, and stunning artwork. The house comes with Fibre Wifi included so workaholics can check on work while on vacation.

The living room leads the way to the kitchen and the bathroom; both concealed behind pocket doors. The fully-stocked small kitchen features glassware, utensils, a fridge, a microwave, an induction hob, and plenty of cabinets to store cooking essentials. Opposite the kitchen is a foldable breakfast bar along a huge window, which opens to turn the space into an al-fresco eating station.

Featuring an open-floor layout in half of the house, a bedroom and a workstation lie on one end of the house next to the kitchen. The bedroom can be accessed through the living room or via the second entrance. It features a queen-size bed with a heated blanket, a workstation along a window, an open coat closet, storage cabinets, a TV, indoor plants, and remote-controlled blinds.

The bathroom has high-pressure gas hot water, a toilet, a vanity sink, and a glass-enclosed shower. One of the appealing features in the bathroom is the tropic-themed wallpaper that pairs stunningly with the glossy black tiles.

Outside, a deck lounge set with a waterproof cover allows for hosting large parties. A few steps away from the tiny house is the glasshouse dining room. The glass-dome dining room comes equipped with furniture, a cabinet, and a caddy for you to enjoy a nightcap under the stars. You can rent it for $102/night at Airbnb.
