The annual furniture fair, Salone Internationale del Mobile held in Milan, Italy exhibits the most intriguing and fascinating furnishing designs from innovative designers around the globe. However, the latest and innovative designs of bathware were displayed during the Milan Design Week in the spaces of Superstudio Più – Temporary Museum. The winner of the “outdoor bathroom environment for the contract sector” category of the Cristalplant 2013 competition got the opportunity to exhibit their winner project the ‘Longue Shower’ in the space shared by Cristalplant and Falper.
The winner team of Federico Elli, Marco Febbo, Andrea Fiorito, and Stefano Filipuzzi from the About_blank studio created the modular ‘Longue shower’ system that serves as a chaise longue, a shower and a washbasin. When joined together the system can be used as a lounge to peacefully relax after a swim. The central part of this system is made of the Cristalplant, a material that is particularly appreciated in bathroom furniture, linked to which is the back and headrests. This can be separated from the central element to be used as a shower or wash basin depending on the hydraulic system that is chosen to use them with.
