Eight Sleep has designed a new smart bed with dynamic cooling and heating to maintain perfect temperature all night long and optimize user’s sleep experience.
Dubbed The Pod, this smart bed with a hub that connects over Wi-Fi and stores water to maintain nighttime temperatures between 55- to 115-degree Fahrenheit, comes with a specially designed five-layered, high-density foam mattress and integrated Active Grid technology.
This sleep-enhancing bed also include smart features such as biometric tracking, sleep coaching, and smart home integration, making it an all-in-one platform for better sleep.
Eight Sleep’s new smart bed can also be connected to Amazon Echo, Google Home, Nest thermostat, and Philips Hue smart light bulbs. There are built-in sensors to track sleep time, sleep stages, respiration, and more. Each night’s sleep report can be viewed through the companion mobile app in the morning.
The company has spent nearly two years developing and improving upon their earlier smart bed to achieve the Pod that creates a perfect sleeping environment by autonomously adjusting the temperature throughout the night on both sides of the bed.
An embedded thermo alarm gradually cools the bed before the prescheduled alarm time. This built-in equipment adjusts the surface temperature of the bed, waking you up naturally, without the sound of an alarm.
