Snacking is a kind of habit that you once get into, can’t go back. If it’s healthy snacking, you shouldn’t stop, and probably that’s the motto of the “Bring Your Flavor” National Tour commencing this week in Sacramento, California. One company that has grabbed this opportunity with both hands to connect with its potential and present customers across the United States is Blue Diamond. The century-old almond company which is a household name, got into talks with Inspira (a marketing company) and came up with The Nutty Cruiser just before National Almond Day which falls this year on Sunday, 16 Feb, 2025.
The almond-shaped mobile van was created in Dallas, Texas and around 1,150 labor hours went into its completion. This rig reviving the memories of ‘Shaggin’ Wagon’ in Dumb and Dumber movie has been built to be the powerhouse of flavor drops and surprise pop-ups in 2025. The building of the Nutty Cruiser started on a platform of a base with an array of metal frames. Thereafter, the engine and driver seat were installed.
The rest of the framework was supported using thin wires which helped form a connection with mesh wire. As the form factor was of elliptical almond shape, therefore, plastic sheets were used to lend a natural look and also to cut down the extra weight. Surprisingly, the entire body of The Nutty Cruiser is aerodynamic.
The plastic was smeared with some material and glue and finally painted in an almond color with a realistic look. The Blue Diamond company however retained its signature blue color in some of the components of this vehicle. Now, the Blue Diamond company has a goal of distributing around one million samples of its almonds to consumers. The company is committed and wants to give back to the community in the most flashy manner possible.
“With the Nutty Cruiser, our goal was to craft a fun and interactive experience that lets fans engage with Blue Diamond products in a whole new way,” said Maya Erwin, Vice President of Marketing and Innovation. “As true almond enthusiasts, we’re excited to share our love for this perfect snack across the ‘Bring Your Flavor’ tour. This launch reflects our dedication to bold flavors, enjoyment, and building community connections.”

The Nutty Cruiser will start from Sacramento, CA on Feb 16 and move to eight other locations in the United States before halting its mission for 2025 at Ohio State Fair which will be held in August 2025. Post the showcasing, the company plans to include more cities on its list. For now, cities including Milwaukee, Los Angeles, New York City, Columbus, Ohio, Washington D.C., Bentonville, Ark., Indianapolis, Sacramento, California, Chicago, Boston, and Panama City are on its bucket list.
This unique almond-like vehicle will give young and old the exciting opportunity to come together and relish healthy almonds. The company has also planned some interesting activities for some undisclosed locations. So keep watching and be ready to grab a flavor when you see The Nutty Cruiser around town.
