London-based builder, Built Works designed a sauna for rental agency Architects Holiday. The Scandinavian-inspired Drying Shed Sauna is built in the middle of the lush green forest in East Sussex, where Architects Holiday offers vacation rentals such as Cabin X and Hill Cabin within the vicinity, allowing you to explore woodland paths while you go for a meditative spa at the sauna.
The sauna has a rustic red exterior based on four supports to minimize the impact on the surroundings. Built Works decreases the sauna’s ecological footprint by making it small and using sheep wool and recycled plastic for insulation. It is based on the stones for the protection of biotic wealth.
Its structure is made of larch wood panels and a metal roof. The sauna has a small deck in front of the door, where you can keep your shoes. Inside the Drying Shed Sauna, you find a minimalistic alder wood aesthetic with a live-edge bench made from a felled tree and a wood-burning stove generating steam. It has a picture window to give you nature’s views while taking sauna therapy.

There is a breathing space created by lifting the roof a foot and through wooden slats on the floor. Little away from this sauna, you find an outdoor shower to rejuvenate the body and mind.
You can make reservations on Architects Holiday‘s website for two hours. The ticket costs £25, roughly about $27.
