Spending time and playing in treehouses is a childhood dream that many of us forget about as we grow up. Well, as adults we can explore all the wild places we were scared to go to as a child, like spending a weekend in Charlotte’s magical Carolina Treehouse hidden in the woods. Surrounded by nature, the pond-side treehouse has a rustic character with sophisticated comforts such as a swinging outdoor daybed, an exquisite interior, and an outdoor shower.
Hosted by Alyssa and Brian Foushee, the Carolina Treehouse is a serene hideaway only 15 minutes from Charlotte and accessible through a shaded drive into a forgotten forest. Perched on wood pillars, a singular spire greets you with a whimsical charm and cottage-core allure.
The wraparound porch around the treehouse offers an al-fresco cooking option with an outdoor grill, while a hammock embedded in the porch’s floor lets you admire the night sky above. The small interior is clad in earthy colors and cozy textures such as wicker, wood, and fur, making it cozy and homely. With vintage farmhouse décor to scenic views, the Carolina Treehouse has plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable. The TV-free zone allows you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty gushing all around.
The front door opens into the open-floor interior dotted with indoor plants paired with green, white, and wooden accents to create a warming space. A rustic wood cabinet is placed next to the door to keep trinkets and books organized. The tapered ceiling helps the interior feel spacious and airy.
