Tenn Xoomsai, a Thailand-based Porsche enthusiast, has built a glass showroom in his house to display a collection of his five Porsche cars. The glass showroom features an elevator to lift one of his five classic cars to the lounge area on the second floor, making it a unique automotive centerpiece at home in Bangkok, Thailand. The glass garage stores cars on the ground floor, while the elevator lifts any one car to the upper level.
Porsche collection display
Tenn, 45, wanted his Porsche collection (worth more than a million pounds) on view. So, he decided to renovate his old home two years ago. His completed two-bedroom detached house now features the glass garage right in the center of the living room, where he can admire his expensive sports cars.
The good thing about this glass showroom is that it allows Tenn to switch the car every few days for completely transforming the look and feel of the interior when he needs some change. Even Tenn’s car-loving friends visit often to admire the priceless vehicles on the show while sitting on the couch. Not only his friends, but his wife has also started liking cars over the years and now love this car-focused home.
Inspiration
Besides the exquisite car display, the house interior is also filled with Porsche memorabilia. According to Tenn, cars are his inspiration for everything he does – be it work, his hobby, or his personal life. Therefore, he wanted his cars to be the centerpieces of his house for constant inspiration even if he’s not driving.
