CES seems incomplete without innovative TV technologies by different brands. To meet this demand, TCL has become the latest TV maker to enter CES 2022 with its impressive and pocket-friendly TV product series. This year, the company has unveiled the 98R754, a 98-inch 4K QLED TV, that’s priced at only $8,000. This is relatively less compared to Samsung‘s same-sized TV, the QE98QN90A, that’s priced at $15000.
This supersized TCL QLED TV comes with Google TV interface and sports 4 HDMI ports. Out of these, the two ports are for passing 4K signals up to 120Hz refresh rate. It even supports Dolby Vision, HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) ranging from 48Hz to 120Hz. Apart from that, the company remains tight-lipped about other technical specifications.
Besides the 98R754, TCL’s new flagship 85-inch 8K QLED X925pro will also come with its third-generation mini-LED technology. In 2021, TCL was the best TV brand to provide budget-friendly 8K TVs to consumers. The 85-inch TV with mini-LED is a clear example of the brand’s brilliance. It boasts promisingly smooth luminance along with precision contrast for image depth even in the brightest spaces. Meanwhile, it boasts this chassis that’s less than 10mm deep.

Looking at the amazing specifications of TCL’s 85-inch TV, we have much higher expectations from their latest 98-inch TV model. Furthermore, the company has also announced that its certain premium TVs will get the latest upgrade to 144Hz. It’s good news for PC gamers, who can now make the most of this new upgrade.
The Chinese company is even planning to come up with a TrueCut Motion processing feature in its certain premium TVs. The TrueCut is a result of the collaboration with Pixelworks, and this technology aims to minimize any processing problems with TV content, such as judder.
