German recreational vehicle manufacturer, Bürstner, has come up with a new camping trailer concept named Talis. It presents a futuristic vision with inclusions like an inflatable rear extension, an adaptable cooking set-up, a cozy sleeping area, and movable LED lights. Talis trailer has a marine-inspired aerodynamic exterior designed by StudioSyn, which is a result of numerous run-throughs a virtual wind tunnel software. Being lightweight and aerodynamic design ensures it would be towable using a variety of vehicles including electric vehicles.
Celebrating the idea of “travel small, live large,” the Talis camping trailer concept features a multifunctional Air-Xtension System that helps create a feeling of roominess by increasing the dwelling size. The main highlight is the rear transverse inflatable bed that can be transformed into a 200 x 170cm bed lengthwise. Underneath the master bed lies the kid’s sleeping area which makes this camping trailer ideal for families to travel together. Alternatively, this nook under the bed in transverse orientation can be used for storage or as a garage during the day.
The makers have explored modular options in the Talis camping trailer, especially in the form of a kitchen featuring a portable induction hob. It can be carried for outdoor cooking. The interior space also has flexible lounge furniture including a bench and table that are removable and suffice outdoor dining and camping needs.
Telis also simplifies storage by providing soft-sided overhead boxes that can be removed for packing and can be kept at the designated spaces inside the trailer. Bürstner has included battery-operated lights for the interiors that can be positioned as per the user’s need. The acoustic wood panels used in the walls give a soundproofing effect, another remarkable add-on.

The washroom of this camping trailer features a twin-chamber eco-toilet. It is removable and can be taken out if needed. It operates without chemicals and is therefore ecological. The bathroom sink folds into the wall to create an additional shower room.
Talis travel trailer concept employs modularity and eases flexing the design. It also explores aerodynamic structure on both the rear and front to minimize fuel consumption for towing vehicles. Bürstner will showcase the Telis at Caravan Salon Dusseldorf 2024.
