A Europe based design studio known as Design By Us has created the Table T, which was launched during the Salone Satellite held in April this year. Table T is made up of three materials including Corian Illumination Series, Dupont which is the principal material and metallic black matt painted holding structure. The legs of this illuminating table are made out of solid wood. The designers wanted to make use of the illuminating semi transparent material along with other materials without the usually needed under construction of the illuminating material.
While designing the Table T, the designers incorporated the metal frame into the illuminating Series in such a way that it was not visible when the incorporated LED light was switched on. The light of this LED passes through the semi transparent surface giving the table a soft glow. The LED gets its power from a rechargeable battery. Table T measures 160 X 92 X 72 cms and the light in weight table can be used in a living room as a simple coffee table providing a special glow in the ambience.
