SwitchBot is debuting at CES 2025 its first multitasking household robot dubbed K20+ Pro. This robot with groundbreaking, multitasking competencies combines smart D-ToF Lidar navigation with a 1:1 navigational map, thorough vacuuming, air purification and circulation, and more in a single cutting-edge appliance. It also enables DIY customization – thanks to its wheeled platform called the FusionPlatform – which is a canvas for integrations with custom-made attachments.
SwitchBot K20+ Pro is engineered to achieve what quintessential household robots cannot. Pushing the boundaries with its multitasking household management capabilities, the mini vacuum robot and a base station, are outfitted with the FusionPlatform on top, which is a modular foundation capable of allowing users to “create, adapt, and personalize” the K20+ PRo for a wide variety of applications.
This robot with D-ToF Lidar navigation and dual laser detection allows it to make a map of your house so that it can go where you remotely or vocally command it to go. It can carry a payload of up to 8 kgs to deliver small packages, food, and drink, to your bed, or move a small laundry basket to the washing machine like a personal assistant at home. On combining it with SwitchBot’s Pan/Tilt Cam Plus, the K20+ Pro provides real-time monitoring, motion detection, and instant notifications on your mobile device.
The K20+ Pro when paired with SwitchBot‘s air purifier series can move about the house, purifying the air where and when you need it. Integrate the robot with the company’s Circulator Fan and automate air circulation based on the temperature and humidity throughout your home. If that is not enough, then attache it to a telescoping pole and turn the vacuum cleaner into a mobile stand to attach a tablet or smartphone for mobile conferencing and more.

A multifunctional robot that can function in various roles with compatible devices is likely to make lives for many of us more convenient and functional. To ensure there are more possibilities that the robot can be used for, SwitchBot is encouraging users to 3D-printed components, create third-party devices with ports for speakers, UV sterilization lamps, and do more.
There is no word on the price or availability of the K20+ Pro Multitasking Household Robot yet, but we are expecting that it will roll out within the first quarter of 2025. Our curious eyes are keeping a watch and we will keep you updated as we hear more information from SwitchBot.
