I am always intrigued by designs that make use of recycled materials as they pave the way to a sustainable future. Such designs also inspire others to pause and think whether they can also make use of such basic materials in creating the designs. Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is one such material that is a flexible, odorless, transparent, and recyclable thermoplastic polymer. It is mostly used in grocery bags, garbage bags, juice containers, and so on.
An Australian design house named Derlot has created Stump recycled stools using LDPE. Up to 80 percent of recycled post-industrial plastic has been used to create a collection of beautiful-looking stools. These stools feature a terrazzo-like design that is usually seen in marble, granite, glass, or quartz chips set in cement. I would say this is very well thought out by the designer Alexander Lotersztain.
A very simple yet profound design brings out the colorful mix of patterns in various colors. The stool is circular with a kaleidoscopic finish. These stools can complement any space be it offices, outdoors, or homes. Therefore, I would say that the designer has very smartly conceived the design of these stools.

Stump recycled stools have standard color options and then there is the possibility of customization so that clients can match the stool colors to their liking or taste. The design is basic but one cannot ignore the beauty of these stools which boasts playfulness. The design also allows comfortable sitting in a low position.
These stools are lightweight owing to the 80 percent plastic material that has been used to create them. This means you can easily carry them around. I loved this design and would like to buy such stools if they are available in the market. What is your opinion on Stump recycled stools? Let us know in the comment section below.
