There is still a wide appeal for studio apartments among the youngsters, and with good reason. These tiny living spaces combine the functionalities of multiple rooms in one room. But amidst spiking rents, affording such housing solutions in urbanscapes is just not possible at the moment. That doesn’t mean you can’t own a mobile studio apartment. Located in the heart of California, compact dwelling builder California Tiny House has created the single-level Studio 20 tiny house, which is an affordable version of a typical studio apartment.
The California Tiny House Studio series consists of mobile houses with bright, open floor plan interiors that provide versatile functionalities for the modern youth. The Studio 20 tiny house on wheels boasts a stunning sky-blue exterior, often broken by wood-framed windows.
Built on a triple-axle trailer, the 20-foot-long abode has a premium upgrade with sustainable building materials. A white door opens into the kitchen of the custom mobile dwelling. The large kitchen is outfitted with wooden countertops, an integrated cooktop, a ventilation hood, a microwave, an oven, under-counter cabinets, and a shelving unit for hanging pots and pans doubling as a room divider.

Past the kitchen is the living room that converts to a bedroom. An inset Murphy bed – which fits in the bump-out on the back – can be pulled down from the wall behind the built-in sofa. The room has a double-pole closet with deep storage below. The kitchen shelf divider also functions as an entertainment unit on the back with extra storage. Moreover, this space can also be used as a work-from-home station.
On the other end of the house, a bathroom is neatly tucked behind a pocket door. The bathroom of this house is slightly bigger than other Studio series units. It comes with a shower cabin, toilet, and a vanity sink which is installed in the bump-out on the front. The pricing for the Studio 20 tiny house starts at $51,399. However, there are options for additional features and customization that will further add to the cost.
