I hate it when people associate the tiny house movement with North America alone. There is no denying that downsized lifestyle is quite popular in the USA and Canada, but this doesn’t imply other countries fall short. For instance, Australia and New Zealand are two nations where the tiny house movement is getting bigger every passing day with new builders coming onto the scene to fulfill the ever-growing demand for tiny houses.

Shaye’s Tiny Homes is one such New Zealand-based mobile habitat maker whose creation Steph tiny house had me in complete awe so I decided to write about it. Built on a triple-axle trailer, the Steph tiny house is a beautiful and spacious dwelling on wheels. The 33 feet tiny house boasts a thoughtful and functional design.

Upon entering the home, you are graced by a spacious living room that features a high ceiling and charming walls. The bright living room is cleverly designed with a sofa and two pull-out couches on wheels that have plenty of storage underneath. One can sit, relax and sleep on them while watching the wall-mounted TV. If required, you can even put these couches together and transform them into a double bed.

Adjacent is the elegantly designed kitchen. It offers plenty of room for cooking and provides ample space for storing essentials. Accoutered with a number of appliances, the kitchen includes a gas oven with two burner gas hob, space for a dishwasher, numerous drawers, a large pull-out pantry, and space for a fridge.

The tiny house is bright and fresh, courtesy of a two-pane glass slider on one side, and another three-pane glass slider in the living room that allows both air and light to penetrate inside. Nearby is the bathroom, which includes a shower, vanity unit, toilet, and space for a washer/dryer.

On the opposite side of the kitchen is the bedroom of the house. It features a double bed with plenty of storage underneath it. Not to mention a gorgeous window that allows the sun and views around you to pour in the bedroom.
