Sony has unveiled a wireless speaker, the LSPX-S3, which is an improved version of its earlier Glass Sound Speaker. It is a unique, portable Bluetooth speaker that uses a transparent glass tube to generate sound. Aside from offering clear 360-degree sound, it doubles as a dimmable, warm LED lamp that mimics a candle.
Sleek and streamlined, the LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker uses three Actuators to tap the end of the organic glass, which vibrates to help spread sound in different directions. There is a built-in 46mm speaker for a well-balanced midrange and a passive radiator for clear low-end notes.
Each unit sports a subtle design that harmonizes beautifully with any interior while also offering sound and light discreetly. Bluetooth connectivity, Candlelight mode, stereo sound by pairing two units, LDAC support, and sleep timer are other integrated features.
Sony LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker can be controlled via a companion mobile app or the onboard buttons. Users can choose from 32 levels of brightness according to space and lighting needs. The light can even pair with music being played for a unique listening experience. It is a portable speaker that can also be taken outdoors thanks to its built-in battery with up to eight hours of playback.
