The idea of working as you explore the world has always captured the imagination of adventurous people. This has sparked a trend of mobile offices which give the user freedom to set up their workspace in the most picturesque locations. Taking the idea to a next level is the Nova office pod created by Cape Town-based Work & Co.
This mobile office is equipped with fast WiFi, Smart TV, Apple TV, charging stations, mini-fridge, and a Nespresso coffee machine. This gives up to six users the leverage to work together on the go and caters to the need of modern day nomads who fancy working as they explore the world.
One standout feature of this office pod is the solar-powered electricity which is enough to run all the kitchen appliances as well as the electronic equipment required in the office.
Co-founders Julien Verspieren and Pienaar have designed this shared workspace themselves from scratch. Both of them closely researched the final design of the office pod and the elements that were to be incorporated.

For the exterior of the pod, the duo took help from graphics designer Chris Moore. The outcome being, interiors are well complimented by the exterior look.
Work & Co co-founder Jolize Pienaar:
Finding inspiration whilst still being productive was one of the strongest motivations for building Nova. Immersing yourself in different landscapes, whilst fully-equipped, enabling thought and productivity – the concept was just too attractive not to execute.
Currently, the mobile office is set up in one of the five predetermined locations around Cape Town. One can rent it for a day at $50.
Nova users also have the option of choosing their own location, however, that’s obviously going to cost a lot more.
