A few days ago, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jerry Terry, CEO of Decathlon Tiny Homes. We not only talked about the inception of his Texas-based tiny house company but also discussed where the tiny house movement is heading in the future. During the conversation, Terry listed some of the favorite tiny homes he has built to date. He also disclosed that Decathlon Tiny Homes was planning to unveil a new micro-dwelling dubbed Shiloh tiny house.
Measuring 32 feet long, the Shiloh tiny house on wheels is built on a triple-axle trailer and can be pulled by a one-ton truck. The tiny home boasts a smart siding exterior painted ‘extra white’, and features durable and weather-proof F-WAVE roofing. An outswing exterior door welcomes you inside the home that comprises luxury vinyl flooring and a white-painted interior.
You first step into the living room of the house which features a window, skylight, and Luna E2- a simple and highly efficient air exchanger that maintains an optimal temperature inside the home. While giving a video tour of the tiny house, Terry mentions that the second unit is fixed in the bedroom. The living room is also accoutered with a ‘fandelier’ – a fan and chandelier that improves the overall aesthetic of the space. Akin to other tiny homes by the company, the living room is empty and is meant to be furnished by users themselves.
Nearby is the kitchen. It comes with gorgeous cabinets and countertops. In addition to storage and cooktop options, the kitchen also features a sink with a cutting board insert, a fridge, a microwave, and other nitty-gritty essentials. The kitchen connects to the bathroom. It looks quite snug but does contain a vanity sink, storage, a glass-enclosed shower, and a residential toilet.

Past the bathroom is the main-floor bedroom of the house. It is capacious enough to accommodate a queen-size mattress and sleep two people comfortably. Another beautiful aspect of the main-floor bedroom is two walk-in closets featuring a glass mirror on the outside. Not to mention, a skylight that offers both ventilation and sunlight.
Since the Shiloh tiny house is inspired by the company’s Poseidon model, it features a loft as well. A storage-integrated staircase next to the living room leads up to the loft bedroom. The loft accommodates a queen-size mattress and sleeps a couple in a breeze.
We are not exactly familiar with the price of the tiny house yet but estimate it to be around $112,570. The tiny home is headed to the famous Lake Dallas tiny home village.
