In a world full of distractions and chaos, privacy and peace are hard to find. Amidst such a soul-sucking environment, the Shanti chair is like a breeze of calm. Its patented design brings a sense of well-being and infuses any modern space with peaceful aesthetics. The Shanti chair is designed by Belgium-based Joachim Froment of Futurewave as the debut product for Inner Design Studio. It has a retractable dome to envelope the users, giving them their personal space to contemplate, explore the inner self, meditate, and read.

The Shanti chair has a minimal and comfortable design that invites you to relax during a regular workday. The frame of the chair is crafted from light birch and Tyvek is used for the shade. Each element used is FSC certified and 100 percent recycled, valuing not just product quality but consumer’s health as well.

The seat of the chair is upholstered in a comforting green color, whereas its ergonomic design allows for any cross-legged posture, encouraging meditation. Its top is integrated with soft lighting to create a warm ambiance inside for readers. Notably, you can customize the chair in a variety of colors, wood, and fabric to suit your preference.

The envelope is essentially a cocoon with an effortless and user-friendly mechanism. With the help of two visible straps on either side of the cocoon, you can gently close the retractable dome around you and get into your own private retreat to explore quiet moments of harmony. There is even a reading light built into the frame at the top so when you close the umbrella-shaped structure around you, you still have light inside.

This furniture is a versatile and soothing option for various spaces such as offices, hotels, leisure centers, VIP lounges, private clinics, and university or public libraries. Merging contemporary aesthetics with peace, the chair promotes a healthier environment and addresses the need for mental wellness simultaneously.

The Shanti chair is designed to encourage people to take a deliberate break from their tight schedules to rejuvenate and renew. Besides being a private retreat disguised as furniture, the chair is a statement piece that transforms any contemporary space into a zone of inner reflection and mindfulness.
