Samsung’s Frame TV, which combines art and entertainment into one unit, has made a unique niche in the industry since its launch in 2017 and it even has seen competitors like TCL NXTFrame TV. This year, Samsung is ready to upgrade its Frame TV lineup with the launch of The Frame Pro. This new TV is powered by Neo QLED panel (with Mini LEDs) that results in brighter colors, sharper contrast and deeper blacks with a local dimming feature.
As reported by The Verge, Samsung is not utilizing Mini LEDs in the normal way rather placing them along the bottom of the screen, unlike Mini LED TVs with small dimming zones behind the screen. This way, the company claims to deliver some degree of local dimming; however, its effectiveness will be clear after someone reviews it in person.
Powered by the NQ4 Gen3 AI Processor, The Frame Pro offers remarkable picture quality for both artwork and video content. It also comes with the Wireless One Connect that allows you to install the TV without the clutter of wires, making it blend into the home seamlessly. Samsung is also increasing the maximum refresh rate from 120Hz to 144Hz to enable smooth visuals while gaming.

Samsung will also be incorporating its new Vision AI technology into The Frame Pro, which allows you to interact with the screen. You can get instant information about what is on screen and enjoy live translation with the on-device AI translation model, generative wallpapers for a personalized look and even work as a central hub for the smart home. Additionally, the on-device AI technology automatically adjusts both visuals and audio in real-time based on content and environmental factors.
Samsung has expanded its Art Store which now features over 3,000 curated works from various global partners, including MoMA and the estates of Magritte and Basquiat. The company has even partnered with Art Basel to make The Frame lineup the official art display for the event.
