We all want our tiny homes to be ‘neat and clean.’ When I use this phrase, I don’t mean neatness in hygienic terms but also design-wise. A cluttered tiny house is neither appealing to the eye nor comfortable to live in. I am bringing this issue up because most tiny house manufacturers end up making a mess of a dwelling in order to incorporate extra furnishing. But manufacturers like Modern Tiny Living do the exact opposite and keep tiny homes as spacious as possible while maintaining a clean design aspect.
Today, I’ll be talking of yet another tiny house by the Ohio-based tiny house manufacturer to exemplify what a perfect tiny house should look like. Boasting a lime green exterior with LP vertical smart siding, the Rocky tiny house is a 20-foot-long dwelling that’s named after Rocky Mount in North Carolina. Based on the company’s popular Point Model, the tiny house has a social area, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.
Unlike their many other models, the social area/living room isn’t elevated but still features four drawers, a bookcase, and a sofa that can be used for sleeping, too. The sofa not only offers bed convertibility but also provides concealed storage. There are windows over the sofa allowing light to penetrate inside and keep the living room bright and airy.
Opposite the social area is the kitchen of the tiny house. It boasts custom cabinetry topped by butcher block countertops. We can also spot a 31-inch ‘black undermount sink’ alongside a number of appliances ranging from an oven (custom provided) to a fridge.

Past the kitchen area is the bathroom of the tiny house which is accessible via a sliding door. It features an enclosed fiberglass shower and a standard flush toilet. There are also floating shelves to keep bathroom essentials nearby.
From the living room, a custom staircase with built-in storage leads to the sleeping loft of the tiny house. The bedroom has a king-size bed that sleeps two people with ease. Needless to say, MTL’s Rocky Tiny House maximizes space and comfort within its tiny footprint while maintaining the equilibrium between a clean form and cozy living.
