I hear a lot of teenagers talk so passionately about the tiny house movement and how mobile dwellings are emerging as a substitute to regular-size homes. These folks refer builders like Minimaliste, Baluchon, and Fritz Tiny Homes to back their intellectual preening about the tiny house lifestyle. But little do they know that before any of these tiny house manufacturers amassed, the famous California-based Tumbleweed Tiny House Company was already slaying with their simple yet elegant tiny house models.
Today, I present to you Roanoke tiny house designed by Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. Measuring 30 feet in length, the micro dwelling packs two lofts, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom inside its woody exterior.
Roanoke welcomes you right in the middle of the large living room via a side door. Featuring a sofa, center table, and an ottoman, the living room is functional yet very spacious. I don’t know if it’s just me or anyone else as well, but I sense a feeling of minimalism here.
Unlike homes that feature multifunction furniture, Tumbleweed makes the best use of available furnishing, whilst exhibiting mountain cabin vibes. The living room is quite open and airy, courtesy of a big window. Facing the sofa is a wall-mounted television to keep you thoroughly entertained.
Next, we have the kitchen of the tiny house. Fully functional and aesthetic, the kitchen features all the essentials necessary for a comfy lifestyle. There are a number of cabinets for housing essentials along with adequate space for keeping a washer/dryer. The house also hosts a range of appliances from a refrigerator/ freezer and stainless steel sink to an induction cooktop.
As we pass through the kitchen we are graced by two staircases that lead to the two lofts of the tiny house. One loft can function as a traditional bedroom while the other can be used as a second living room or library, as per individual preference. The bathroom is downstairs and features a sink, shower, and toilet.

Most tiny house manufacturers would stop here, but Tumbleweed adds a special flex room at the back end of the tiny house. Despite very less space available, they make use of every inch and successfully accommodate a table and a chair there.
So, if you’ve got kids at home, this might be a suitable place for them to study in peace. Tumbleweed Tiny Homes also offers customization, but their shell model can be availed at $93,959.
