Not to sound sexist, but I think there is something manly about grilling. The pleasant weather, smokey aroma of meats, and good company make for a wonderful time. Ahead of the 2025 grilling season, we have had a handful of grill launches, including the likes of Weber Smoque, Woodridge Series by Traeger, and Gravity Series 1150 by Masterbuilt. And how could I forget the recently launched Ninja FlexFlame? Joining the series of launches is the Cuisinart’s Propel+ four-burner 3-in-1 gas grill.
Boasting grilling, riddling, and pizza-making capabilities, Cuisinart’s latest grill comes at half the price of Ninja FlexFlame yet offers three distinct cooking methods in one sleek package. The ability to use the grill and griddle simultaneously opens up endless possibilities, whether you’re preparing a multi-course meal or experimenting with fusion dishes that combine grilling and griddling techniques.
For this endeavour, the grill features a 176-square-inch cast-iron griddle powered by its own 11,000 BTU XL burner on the side. As per the company, “This griddle can reach temperatures of up to 600°F, perfect for achieving that coveted sear on steaks or cooking up breakfast favorites like pancakes and eggs.”
Aside from the supreme flexibility the grill offers, what makes the grill stand out is its performance. The grill comes with four burners that deliver a combined 44,000 BTUs of power. This ensures even heat distribution across its 477 square inches of primary cooking space, which Cuisinart claims can handle up to 24 burgers simultaneously. The grill also features a 138-square-inch warming rack, which Tom’s Guide confirms is for those who like to keep their food warm between batches.
It would have been a different thing if it were just a grill, but the Cuisinart Propel+ does more than that. Perhaps the most surprising feature of the Propel+ is its ability to transform into a pizza oven. With a dual-hinged lid and a drop-down tempered glass pizza door, this grill can bake pizzas to perfection in under six minutes.
The Cuisinart Propel+ comes equipped with a 15-inch cordierite stone and a slightly raised pizza rack design, ensuring even heat distribution and a crispy, restaurant-quality crust. When not in use, the pizza stone and griddle can be conveniently stored in the grill’s integrated storage space, keeping your outdoor kitchen clutter-free.

It’s no secret that Cuisinart is in a competitive market dominated by Traeger and Weber, and with Ninja throwing its hat into the ring, it’s only going to get tougher for the former. To compete with big names, and especially the multi-functional grills, Cuisinart has priced the Propel+ at $500, a fact that left me far more interested in it, considering Ninja FlexFlame offers the same features at a premium price tag of $1,000.
Propel+ also offers dual-fuel capability with an optional natural gas conversion kit. This flexibility makes it a practical choice for homeowners who want a permanent outdoor setup without the hassle of refilling propane tanks. For those interested, the 3-in-1 gas grill is available for purchase on Amazon.
