A clogged bathtub can be irritating and messy to clean. Though there are many ways to stop bathtubs from choking up with hair, they require you to get your hands dirty. Now, you no longer have to worry about getting your hands dirty. Enter PressDrain, which can easily capture and remove hair from the bathtub without you having to touch them.
PressDrain claims to end this problem of clogged bathtub drain forever with a simple press. An innovative bathtub filter, the PressDrain is designed to shred the drained hair to avoid it from clogging. Once the hair is cut, it can be drained with flowing water easily without the need to get the hands involved. Whether it’s long hair, short, straight, curly or even pet hair, PressDrain can effortlessly catch them and shred them.
The PressDrain comprises a stainless steel button-shaped top and a rubber base, with space in between where the hair can collect. Equipped with quadrat blades, on the press of the steel button, it shreds bundled hair to pieces, which makes the shredded hair easier to flush down with flowing water. The blades are recessed into the rubber base of the drain for safety.
The special hollow design of the base ensures an effortless flow of water, which will eventually carry the hair with it. You just need to press down at the top of the filter and all the hair gets cut into small pieces and drains out with the water easily – you can choose to press with the hand or simply use your feet for the same.

PressDrain can also be used as a stopper thanks to the thick rubber inserted on the cap and the base that creates a watertight seal. It can work with any drain measuring between 1.25- and 2-inches wide.
PressDrain is currently up for crowd-funding on Kickstarter; it has already been successfully funded, but you can lend a hand if you want one of these for your bathtub. Pledge a minimum of $39 to get one delivered to your doorsteps this July.
