The Pointe bathroom collection by Karim Rashid for Latvia-based PAA Baths showcases the dynamic beauty of movement. This unique imagination is realized through the shape of a ballet shoe. The collection comprises a bathtub and a washbasin, both featuring a one-of-its-kind silhouette that brings them into the category of art pieces for a modern bathroom.
The bathroom collection is dedicated to Karim’s daughter, who has dedicated seven years to ballet and recently began dancing en pointe. It also celebrates ballerinas worldwide, who defy gravity with elegance and poise.
The Pointe collection stands out with its distinctive design language. Karim has envisioned a silhouette based on a rounded trapezoid. It features negative angles that taper elegantly from bottom to top, creating a striking and modern aesthetic. The material choice of ceramic is great as it is smoother and easy to clean. The cherry on the top is the various color options that will make these fixtures the centerpiece of your bathroom.
The inner silhouette of the Pointe bathtub is designed to envelop and support the body creating a soothing bathing experience. Its slanted walls form a cocoon-like structure to offer a sense of security and comfort. This unique shape shields the bather from external distractions, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation after a busy day. Similarly, the Pointe washbasin offers ease of use and effortless maintenance.

PAA CEO Pēteris Treicis remarks that Karim Rashid’s bold touch has elevated the PAA’s silhouettes. The collaboration has also taken into account researching and exploring the experiences and cultures of bathing across the world.
The result comes out as Pointe bathroom collection, featuring soft, organic objects that gently interact with our bodies in everyday life. The ergonomic design not only promotes physical comfort but also creates a spa-like atmosphere in the bathroom. It will be showcased at Salone del Mobile 2025.
