Indoor farms are becoming more and more evolved and efficient to provide fresh vegetables and herbs. At CES 2025, there was a slew of indoor gardening systems, one of which was Plantaform Smart Indoor Garden. Plantaform is the world’s first smart indoor garden to use innovative fogponics technique to grow fresh vegetables and herbs so you can enjoy salads all year round.
Made in Canada, this groundbreaking gardening system uses the magic of fog and water to nurture plants. Fogponics is a soil-less growing technique like aquaponics systems, but it uses a fine mist or fog of nutrient-rich water to grow the plants.
Plantaform has an egg-shaped structure with four oval openings on the sides to access the produce. The opening can be covered with convex windows to create the perfect greenhouse for growing plants. The indoor garden can grow 15 plants at a time. Through a combination of colored lights and fog, the futuristic design becomes a quirky décor piece in your living space.
The smart garden pairs with the Plantaform app, where you can monitor the plants’ growth and water levels. The self-sustaining garden measures 26.2 x 26.2 x 26.2 inches, making it perfect as a countertop device.

Plantaform comes in two colors, frost white and midnight black. This way, you can choose whichever shade suits your interior. Given its small stature, the fogponics smart garden system can be placed on a side table, exuding the quiet beauty of a forest captured inside a bottle.
Plantaform Smart Indoor Garden is currently available for $550. The package includes the garden system, a lettuce mix to get your self-grown salad journey started, and Plantaform nutrients and accessories.
