Italy-based design house Pininfarina in collaboration with US-based AC Future released their plans to revolutionize mobile living with the eTH concept last year. Designed as an electric transforming house on wheels with expandable side and rear walls, the vehicle has become a reality now but with some serious enhancements.
As revealed by the makers, there will be a total of three products: the AI-THu (AI Transformer Home Unit), the AI-THt (AI Transformer Home Trailer), and the AI-THd (AI Transformer Home Drivable). All of these models are transformable and integrated with advanced AI features and off-grid capabilities. The first one is for those who want a stationary tiny home, the second one is a camping trailer and the third one is an RV.
The most interesting model is AI-THd – a drivable transformer home that builds on the original design by Pininfarina. It is a drivable, self-sufficient transformer home with flexible spaces, where the cockpit can be converted into a mobile office or secondary bedroom. AI-enabled smart technologies are included in the house for user convenience.
The mobile home transforms from 195 sqft to 400 sqft living area with three expandable sides. As visible in the photos, there is a living room, kitchen, bed, and a bathroom with a shower inside. The official website points the living cabin is equipped with furniture that can be stored when not in use. It can be a great feature to efficiently live in a small space.

For self-sufficient living, the AI-THd mobile home comes with 5kW+ solar power, an atmospheric water generator, and water recovery and recycling systems. Other standout features are AI-powered control, smart water, and power management, smart security system, internet connectivity, dual-zone HVAC, speaker system, etc. that surely make it a future-ready tiny house on wheels.
The collaboration has finally showcased a fully functional prototype model at CES 2025, which means it can be available for purchase anytime soon. As per the official website, electric and diesel versions will be available to the customer, whenever the sale may begin.
As per Engadget, the pricing starts from $98,000 for the static model, $138,000 for the trailer model, and the drivable AI-THd will start at $298,000.
