To encourage better sleep cycles, Philips has just announced the launch of its new lighting system that boasts the ability to wake users more naturally and also help you fall asleep more peacefully. Using every shade of white, The Philips Hue white ambiance is company’s latest hue lightbulb that is designed to deliver shades of white light ranging from cool daylight to warm white.
Designed as a more robust adaptation of Philips Hue system, which was restricted to dimmable white light. The white ambiance bulbs imitate the changing brightness and color temperature of natural sunlight.
According to Chris Worp, the leader of Philips home lighting business Light influences us both physically and emotionally and we experience that every day when waking up and going to sleep. However, the new connected lighting system will help people manage the impact of lights on their lives.
Made compatible with Philips Hue App, the mobile application is packed with features like wake up routine, go to sleep routine and nightlight, all concentrating on offering you a better sleep cycle. Also made compatible with Apple HomeKit, the White Ambiance lights can use voice commands with Siri to control lights, thus having an edge over its competitors like Lifx White 800LED.
Featuring an 800 Lumens LED lightbulb and color temperatures range of 22000 k- 6500k, the starter kit will include two bulbs, the requisite Hue Bridge and a wireless dimming switch. Expected to be released this coming spring, the price has not been announced, but it is likely to be more expensive than its predecessor Philips Hue Lux that costs $20 per bulb.
