After cementing its mettle in the construction industry, Decathlon Tiny Homes has emerged as one of the frontrunners in the tiny house market. The Texas-based tiny house firm has built over 50 tiny homes, each boasting a compact, stylish, and energy-efficient space for the dweller. With tiny house season looming upon us, let’s talk about one of the company’s old builds, dubbed the Phil tiny house.
Built on a double-axle trailer, the Phil tiny house is inspired by the company’s Zeus model. For those not familiar, Decathlon has three core models to offer: Zeus, Athena, and Poseidon. The company customizes any new tiny homes by making tweaks to these three basic models. The Zeus-based Phil tiny house is a modern, mobile living solution designed for those who desire a minimalist yet comfortable lifestyle.
It measures 24 feet long and 8.6 feet wide, offering a total of 192 square feet of living space. Ideal for travel, the Phil can be towed, making it a flexible option for those on the move. Other important details include a 12k HVAC mini-split, which ensures optimum temperature inside. The tiny house also comes equipped with a 30-gallon water heater that provides ample hot water for everyday use. As is the case with such dwellings, the tiny house garners power via a standard RV-style hookup.
The tiny house features smart siding painted in a sleek, modern color, while the interior is painted to create a warm and inviting space. The mobile home has luxury vinyl flooring throughout that’s durable and easy to maintain.
The tiny house, akin to other models under the Zeus lineup, features a living room, which happens to be a perfect spot for relaxing. The main floor also comprises a kitchen with butcher block countertops and plenty of storage options. Not to mention, a gaggle of appliances ranging from a two-burner cooktop and a 30-inch microwave to a 9.8-cu-ft refrigerator and sink. Both the kitchen and living room are airy and bright, courtesy of windows that allow natural ventilation.

The tiny house features a bedroom in the loft area. Accessible via a storage-integrated staircase, the bedroom sleeps a couple. The sleeping loft features egress windows for natural light and easy ventilation. Decathlon Tiny Homes also offers the option to integrate a skylight, but that comes as an add-on.
Underneath the loft bedroom is the bathroom of the tiny home. The bathroom offers a dual-threshold shower, a standard flush toilet, and a vanity sink, making it a fully functional and comfortable space.
For those looking to customize their tiny home, Decathlon offers several upgrade options, including a washer and dryer combo unit, skylights (as aforementioned), retractable or fandelier ceiling fans, and much more. The Phil tiny house is priced at $90,000. However, if you are seeking some additional upgrades, you will have to shell out a little more.
