Situated on the beachfront of Kapiti coast stands New Zealands’s most iconic concrete dome homes built by architect Fritz Eisenhofer. The good news is that one of the two dome houses called Peka Peka, is up for sale now. Peka Peka is a close neighbor of the dome house that was featured last month in a popular TV show-Amazing Spaces. According to Anthony Morsinkhof of New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty, the property is expected to sell out for approximately $2 million USD, which was designed and built by Eisenhofer in late 1980s for his family.
The abode overlooks Kapiti coast’s most remarkable view of white sandy beaches right up to Kapiti Island. Its large windows, where on one hand fills its interiors with ample natural light on the other hand offers panoramic views of the lush surroundings. Balconies and deck areas provide its inhabitants the luxury to sit back and relax in open air.
Interiors of the igloo like house are no less impressive than its exteriors, with an indoor pool area and tropical plants grown all around, makes this home ideal for those who are hunting for a resort like lifestyle.
The interiors also features an open plan modern kitchen, dining and lounge area to enjoy and cherish every moment spent inside this house. A separate section includes 3 bedrooms and a master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and out-looking the picturesque coastline. Lower section includes a gaming room for kids and a parking area for two vehicles.
The house is being advertised by Anthony Morsinkhof, and he describes the property as, “One of New Zealands’s most iconic holiday homes”.
