It has been more than fifty years since the Scandinavian brand Nikari made its first appearance in the dairies of folks who love minimalist wooden furniture. There are many items that the Nordish furniture manufacturer would be boasting of at Salone del Mobile 2022, but nothing beats the classical DETALJI Bench designed by Jenni Roininen, creative director of Nikari.
DETALJI meaning details in Finnish is a bench made using the traditional craftsmanship methods of Nikari in collaboration with Woodnotes, the sister company of Nikari. The high craftsmanship combined with a warm minimalist design creates the DETALJI bench.
It is made from sustainably grown solid oak and also features Woodnotes paper yarn fabric “Woodpecker” designed by Ritva Puotila. The paper yarn is also used for the bench edges. The paper yarn is spun and woven from undyed paper in Ostrobothnia, Finland.
Together, the paper yarn fabric and the solid oak make the bench sturdy and beautiful. Ideal for all surroundings, the bench upholstery was made without the use of any synthetic ingredients and comprises 100 percent wool. The brand has focused on not causing any harm to the environment and promoting sustainability.

Measuring around 60-inches in length, 16-inches in breadth, and 18-inches in height, the DETALJI Bench can be placed anywhere from the living room to the terrace or even on the patio.
