Slovenia-based Donar follows the approach of responsible design to build sustainable furniture. Nicoless chair created in collaboration with Primoz Jeza Design Studio is one of its award-winning designs. This chair was made using recycled plastic bottles and features a minimalist base in different materials.
Looking at the COVID-19 situation where people are finding different ways to realize comfort in nature, the company has also come up with a new iteration of the Nicoless chair. Aptly called the Nicoless Backpack, this is designed as a portable chair that can be carried along on the back.
The idea of having your own chair whenever heading outdoors is really innovative; it poses to be more useful if the user can hold some additional things in it like in a backpack. Nicoless Backpack chair assembles easily – you just need to put down the two parts for the base in a cross and place the seat on it and the chair is ready. Once you are done, all the parts can be packed up to be carried as a backpack.

The Backpack chair can be a great seating solution while camping, doing some office work on the go, or simply sitting alongside the lakeside reading a book or only staring away at the still water. The Nicoless Backpack chair is available for €229 (about $270) at the Donar’s official website.
