The Tennessee-based tiny house company Handcrafted Movement is a rage among tiny house enthusiasts due to its perfect-sized micro-dwellings. For those who neither prefer supersized tiny homes nor compact micro dwellings, Handcrafted Movement designs medium-sized tiny homes for them. One of their designs that grasped my attention today is the Newport tiny house on wheels.
The Newport tiny house is based on a triple-axle trailer and measures 31 feet in length and 8.5 feet in width. The mobile habitat exterior is clad in board and batten siding, and the interior is finished in tongue and groove pine. Glancing at the pictures, the tiny home looks nice and bright inside, thanks to a gaggle of windows spread throughout the home.
A kitchen and dining booth takes up the center of the home, with the former featuring a wooden countertop, stainless steel LP gas range, stainless steel exterior vented hood fan with LED lighting, and a refrigerator/freezer with automatic defrost. The latter comprises a bench and a table that can even be utilized as a working space. The kitchen and dining area are flanked by a flex room on one side and a bathroom on the other.
Akin to Sanctuary tiny house, the Newport’s flex area functions as a bedroom or home office. The tiny home also includes two lofts as well. The first sleeping loft can be accessed via stairs, while the other loft can be reached through a ladder. Both lofts lie on the alternative side and face each other. Together, the three bedrooms sleep six people in total. Other features include a Smart TV that is incorporated into one of the cabinets in the house.

The bathroom contains a shower, toilet, vanity with sink, and built-in storage space. The Newport tiny house gets power from a standard RV-style hookup and water is heated with an LP tankless water heater. The model has been declared retired since 2019, but you can always request Handcrafted Movement to design a one-off tiny house for yourself.
