Informal design not only enhances the appearance but adds a stroke of distinction in modern objects. Relying on this very approach, Drexel University student Carl Durkow has created a rocking chair that looks like an over-sized bird nest. Dubbed as Narl chair, the omnidirectional rocking chair is made from insulation, high-end density modeling foam, leather hides and wool felt to encourage a relaxed attitude.
Supporting a feather-like exterior that bestows it with a soft tactility, the chair is like a form of escapism that not only traverses you from the stress and worldly pressure but maintains mental and emotional stability. Curved base gives occupants the ability to rock the chair back and forth, creating a soothing motion to relax your body.
First showcased to the audience in New York at ICFF 2016 contemporary furniture fair, the Narl chair managed to raise many eyebrows thanks to its imaginative design and far-fetched comfortability.
