Launched at Maison et Objet 2025, Portugal and Singapore-based Origin Made’s new 2025 Togetherness Collection focuses on celebrating and preserving craft. The line includes a number of furniture pieces including the Monumental table designed by the founder Gabriel Tan.
The designer has re-imagined traditional techniques for contemporary living. The table showcases how rattan can be incorporated in a contemporary form that offers a refined yet relaxed setting for gatherings and meals.
The table features a round, elliptical-edged tabletop paired with an obelisk-shaped base that adds an architectural touch to the design. The base is adorned with an intricate rattan weave that elegantly wraps its geometric form to create a stunning focal point. The rattan’s rough, natural look creates a striking visual contrast with the smooth wooden surface above.
The circular form of the table encourages inclusive gatherings, a physical embodiment of the collection’s theme. It is made in thermal-treated solid oak, well known for its rich color, stability, and anti-warping properties.
