Following its Sherpa tiny house, French tiny house firm Baluchon has now completed the Mirasol tiny house on wheels. Translating to ‘Sunflower’ in English, Mirasol comes poised on a double-axle trailer and measures 19.6 feet in length. Clad in red-cedar with an anti-UV saturator, the micro dwelling boasts a folding chestnut bar outside, perfectly aligned with a panoramic sliding window for convenient peeking inside.
Another intriguing aspect of Mirasol’s tiny house exterior is the large-glazed windows that flood the interior with natural light and also add elegance to the home. “Alexandra, the owner of this house, plans to install a terrace along the entire length of the tiny house as well as stools to enjoy the bar with her friends,” Baluchon mentions.
The mobile home features a living room, kitchen, loft bedroom, and bathroom in its compact layout. Visitors enter the home through double-glazing doors that will welcome them inside the living room of the house. Featuring an L-shaped sofa that turns into a bed, a side lamp that adds elegance to the interior, and a gaggle of windows (which allow light to permeate the space) – the living room is bright, spacious, and incredibly beautiful.
The Mirasol tiny house’s living room also comprises a convertible sofa bed that sleeps a couple. I can also spot coat hooks and an oak shoe rack which can also serve as a coffee table or even an additional seat. Not to mention, a large wall shelf above the sofa that will allow Alexandra (owner) to store her books. Adjacent to the living room is a breakfast bar that doubles as a worktop.
Nearby is the kitchen, which is fairly well-stocked by tiny house standards and includes an oven, and a two-burner cooktop. There’s a removable pantry alongside loads of overhead cabinets and shelves. The kitchen has two units in total, alongside a large wardrobe. All these elements contribute to additional storage in the house. The kitchen connects to the bathroom, which looks snug, and has a composting toilet, shower, and sink. The bathroom also includes a stainless steel bucket and shavings compartment.

Just like old-school tiny houses, the Mirasol tiny house’s bedroom is reached by a removable ladder. The ladder is attached to the wall, hence maximizing space without compromising on the comfort. The bedroom contains a queen-sized bed that sleeps two people and is a typical tiny house-style loft with a low ceiling. Overall, the mobile habitat sleeps four people in its snug interior and is indeed a dweller’s dream house.
