Rewild Homes is known for its customization and flexibility in building affordable tiny houses. Mint Chocolate Chip Tiny House is one such creation that impresses with its construction and features. At first glance, it looks like an unusual tiny house on the outside but the interiors of the Mint Chocolate Chip are delightfully refreshing and odd to the builder’s idea of designing tiny houses to live a simple lifestyle: using less and doing more!
Based in Vancouver Island, Rewild Homes is a family-run business that was co-founded by Patrick Whelan and Jessica Whelan. They are dedicated to bringing new designs into the tiny house market which presents a chance for the buyers to live in affordably.
The Mint Chocolate Chip tiny house derives its name from its interior which has chocolate-colored acacia hardwood flooring and aesthetically painted walls in mint color. It is custom-made for a client and has personal touches to it, for example, the entry door has been salvaged from the client’s family home, adding nostalgia and warmth to the entire design.
The house features a gaggle of windows in all the sections. There are three windows each in both the loft and a few in the kitchen and bathroom. This means that there is a good amount of sunlight penetrating the tiny house from all directions. A skylight in the roof adds to the beauty of the design, natural light, and ventilation. The tiny house is also enabled with a full solar system which adds to its sustainability and stays beyond the grid.
This tiny house is divided into two sections, the upper area comprising two lofts that form the bedrooms: one accessible using a ladder, and the other using a storage space cum staircase (which also has an integrated mid-sized fridge and freezer).

The lower part of the tiny house has kitchen and bathroom spaces. The kitchen has a sink, live-edge countertop made from the tree in the client’s property, and cabinets made out of wood. The countertop can also be used as a workspace if required. There is a fully functional cooktop and oven fitted in the kitchen, with the tiled bathroom features a sink with a cabinet underneath, a composting toilet, a bathtub with a shower, and a washing machine.
If you fancy the idea of going tiny and want to move in with your kids, you cannot ignore the Mint Chocolate Chip tiny house. If you are still not decisive, Rewild Homes offers a few other tiny house models that are customizable to your desires.
