After dazzling its charm on car lovers, Mercedes-Benz is prepared to awestruck people with its high-end fully furnished flats. Entering the hospitality sector in collaboration with Fraser Hospitality Group, German automaker Mercedes is all-set to launch six apartments in Kensington, West London this fall.
The pilot project called, Mercedes-Benz Living @Fraser, is a highly ambitious project that recreates ambiance and spaciousness of Mercedes current motor range into high-class living experience. Offering a lifestyle to consumers, the luxury project aims to attract wealthy businessperson’s travelling for work.
1,000-square-feet two-bedroom apartments are designed for short stays and cost around £300-400 ($460-600) a night.
Featuring fully functional kitchen, living and dining area, the flats consist of furniture, accessories and lightning all inspired by Mercedes cars giving an impression of sleeping inside a car. Each flat is decked up with S-shaped Swarovski-crystal chandelier, Burmester surround sound system and a “Black Magic Wall” with built-in smart TV.
According to Wilfried Steffen from Mercedes, ‘with change in time more and more people are seen travelling and staying in unfamiliar cities due to business needs, so these flats will give them a home away from home and a sense of security.’
Scheduled on plan are nine flats to be built in Singapore by 2016, Mercedes-Benz is not the first upmarket brand to enter hospitality sector, apart from them, Porsche is also coming up with its high-end project – Porsche Design Tower, which is also getting ready to welcome guests by 2016.
